The Green councillor accountability register
Cllr Victoria Finnegan No public position
Bramber Castle ward, West Sussex County Council
Not in the motion's printed lists of supporters. Has not signed the pledge against it. Has not left the party over it. No public position on Motion A105 recorded.
On 4 October 2026 the Green Party of England and Wales declared that Zionism is racism, in Motion A105. Councillor Victoria Finnegan has taken no public position on it: their name is not in the motion's printed lists of supporters, they have not signed the councillors' pledge against it, and they have not left the party over it.
Zionism is not racism. It is the belief that Jews have a right to a homeland in their ancestral land, held by around nine in ten British Jews. A councillor whose party has declared that belief racism owes the Jewish residents of Bramber Castle ward, West Sussex County Council an answer: do they support the motion, will they call publicly for it to be reversed, and will they resign if the party keeps it?
Cllr Finnegan, is this you? Put your position on the record in a minute: sign the pledge with your council email, and this page stops asking people to email you the same day.
