About Zionism Is Not Racism

Zionism Is Not Racism is an independent campaign which asks organisations that call Zionism racism to say that it is not, and to adopt the IHRA working definition of antisemitism. Its current campaign, Tell The Greens, asks the Green Party of England and Wales to reverse the "Zionism is Racism" motion it passed on 4 October 2026.

What the site does

It explains why Zionism is not racism, quotes the motion line by line with a response to each clause, and helps anyone write to the Green Party and to their own Green councillors. It is not run by, or connected to, the Green Party.

How the councillor register is put together

The register lists every sitting Green Party councillor in England and Wales, with a link to each one's profile on their council's website. A councillor is shown as having a position only on the public record:

  • Backed the motion: their name is in the list of supporters printed with the motion that went to the party's conference. The printed lists are linked from each page.
  • Signed the pledge: they signed it themselves, from their council email address.
  • Left the party: they resigned in public, or told us so from their council email address.

There are no anonymous claims and no invented positions. Everyone else is shown as having no public position recorded.

Sources and corrections

Every reported event on the site links to the original reporting, and the motion itself is published in full. If something here is wrong, tell us and it will be looked at. Journalists will find facts, quotes and images on the press page. How the site handles personal data is set out in the privacy notice.
